Privacy policy

Effective 3 November 2026. This policy covers piiama for iPhone and its website, piiama.com, where you can read it at piiama.com/privacy.

piiama keeps everything on your iPhone. It has no server, no account and no sign-in, and it collects nothing about you: not your chats, not your questions, not how you use it.

Who makes piiama

piiama is made by Mikołaj Majcherek. For anything about privacy, write to contact@piiama.com.

What piiama collects

Nothing. piiama doesn't send your chats, your questions, your photos or anything about you to anyone, including the piiama team. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code. For the purposes of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the piiama team doesn't process your personal data at all: what piiama stores stays on your iPhone, in your hands.

Where answers come from

Every answer is written by a language model running on your iPhone:

What stays on your iPhone

piiama doesn't sync your chats or share them with other apps.

Backups

piiama leaves your chats, and anything you added to them, out of your iPhone's iCloud and computer backups. They stay on this iPhone only, so a new or restored iPhone starts without them.

Deleting your data

Copying and sharing

When you copy from a chat, whether a whole message or just the words you select, piiama puts it on this iPhone's clipboard only, for two minutes, so it doesn't turn up on your other devices. Sharing sends it only where you choose, through iOS's share sheet.

Photos, files and the camera

piiama only gets the photos and files you pick, through iOS's own pickers, and has no access to your photo library. If a photo you pick is only in iCloud, iOS downloads it for you, not piiama. The camera is only used while you take a photo or scan a document, after iOS has asked you once. The first time you save a photo from piiama to your library, iOS asks for permission to add photos.

Face ID

If you turn on the lock, iOS checks your face or passcode. piiama only learns whether it was you and never receives your face data.

Children

piiama collects no data from anyone, children included.

piiama.com

piiama's website loads nothing from other sites, sets no cookies, counts no visits and keeps no logs of its own. Its host, Cloudflare, may keep the technical logs any web server keeps, such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Because piiama doesn't collect personal data, the piiama team has nothing about you to look up, correct or delete. Everything is on your iPhone, where you can delete it yourself. If you write to contact@piiama.com, your message is only used to answer you, and is deleted once it's no longer needed. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, piiama.com/privacy will show the new version and its date before an update to piiama brings the change. Whatever changes, piiama will never send your chats anywhere.
